SAHARA & OASIS
3 Nights & 4 Days
Day 1: Sousse - El Djem - Gabes - Matmata - Ksar Ghilane
07h30: After breakfast, departure for El Djem, visit of the Roman amphitheater (1 hour)
10:15 am: Continue to Matmata via Gabès.
12h30: Arrival in Matmata, visit a troglodyte house and lunch in a typical restaurant Les Berbères.
14:00: After lunch, departure to Ksar Ghilaine.
17h00: Arrival at Yadis camp Ksar Ghilaine, dinner and tent accommodation.
Day 2: Ksar Ghilane - Douz
07:00: After breakfast, departure to Ksar Hedada and Medenine, visit the Ghorfas.
9.30 am: Arrival in Gabès and visit to the Jara market (01h 00)
10:30 am: Departure to Douz.
12:30 pm: Arrival in Douz, check-in at the hotel, dinner at the hotel. An optional visit to the Saharan dunes on camels.
Day 3: Douz - Nouiel - Zâafrane - Tozeur - Shebika - Tamerza - Nefta
08h00: Departure by 4x4 to the oases of Zaafrana, Nouiel, and Debebche. Then continue to Tozeur, crossing the salt lake Chott El Jerid. (stop 15 minutes)
10.45: Arrival in Tozeur and visit to the Medina of Tozeur (Free time 45 minutes)
Noon: Lunch at the hotel.
14h00: Departure for the visit of the Oases of the Mountains: Chébika and Tamerza
17h30: Return to the hotel, Dinner and Accommodation. (Optional: Bedouin evening at the Khaima).
Day 4: Tozeur - Metlaoui - Gafsa - Kairouan - Sousse:
08h00: After breakfast, possibility of a carriage ride in the palm grove of Tozeur (Optional).
09.15: Departure for Metlaoui, boarding the Red Lizard, the red train of the old Bey of Tunisia, to discover the Selja Gorge (if the train is functional).
12:30 pm: Lunch at the hotel.
13h30: Continuation on Kairouan via Gafsa.
16h00: Arrival in Kairouan, free time in the Medina, and visit to a carpet factory.
Return.
