8-Day Tunisia Adventure: From Historic Cities to Saharan Skies

Day 1: Arrival in Tunis – Welcome to Tunisia
Begin your journey in Tunis, where you’ll be greeted with VIP assistance and transferred to your hotel. Enjoy a relaxing evening to recover from your travels and prepare for the adventure ahead.

Day 2: Kairouan – Gafsa – Tozeur
After breakfast, head south to Kairouan, the spiritual heart of Tunisia and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Visit the Great Mosque of Okba, the Aghlabid Basins, and the Mausoleum of Sidi Sahbi, known for its intricate tilework.
Continue your journey through Gafsa, a town rich in Roman and Berber history, before arriving in Tozeur, an oasis city known for its palm groves and unique desert architecture.
Overnight in Tozeur.
Day 3: Chebika – Tamaghza – Mides – Ong Jmal
Embark on a 4x4 desert adventure to the spectacular mountain oases of Chebika, Tamaghza, and Mides, where waterfalls, canyons, and dramatic landscapes await.
In the afternoon, head to Ong Jmal and the Mos Espa Star Wars set, where the desert scenes from The Phantom Menace were filmed. Return to Tozeur for a relaxing evening.

Day 4: Tozeur – Douz – Tiniri Desert Camp
Drive to Douz, known as the "Gateway to the Sahara." Here, experience an optional camel ride or quad bike excursion across the majestic dunes.
Later, head deep into the desert to Tiniri Camp, where you’ll enjoy a traditional dinner and sleep under a canopy of stars in the peaceful silence of the Sahara.

Day 5: Matmata – El Jem – Sousse
After sunrise in the desert, travel to Matmata, home of the troglodyte cave dwellings and the iconic Hotel Sidi Driss, used as Luke Skywalker’s home in Star Wars: A New Hope.
Then continue to El Jem to marvel at the colossal Roman amphitheater, one of the best-preserved in the world.
Finish your day in Sousse, a historic coastal city with vibrant culture and charm.

Day 6: Oudhna – Testour – Dougga – Return to Tunis
Head inland to explore three incredible archaeological gems. Begin at Oudhna (Uthina), a lesser-known Roman city with an impressively preserved amphitheater.
Continue to Testour, a charming town with Andalusian roots, famous for its mosque’s reversed clock tower.
End the day at Dougga, one of North Africa’s most magnificent Roman sites, set against rolling hills. Return to Tunis in the evening.

Day 7: Tunis – Bardo Museum – Carthage – Sidi Bou Said – Medina
Explore the capital’s treasures starting with the Bardo Museum, home to a world-class collection of Roman mosaics.
Next, walk among the ruins of ancient Carthage, including the Antonine Baths and Byrsa Hill.
Continue to Sidi Bou Said, Tunisia’s famous blue-and-white clifftop town, with stunning views over the Mediterranean.
End your day with a visit to the Medina of Tunis and the historic Zitouna Mosque, soaking in centuries of culture and craftsmanship.

Day 8: Departure from Tunis
